Axel Arigato Clean 90

First look

The Clean 90 has been Axel Arigato's core sneaker since 2016: a slim white leather low-top with a leather lining, flat cotton laces, small gold-tone logo stamps and a rubber cupsole that is both stitched and glued to the upper. Axel Arigato says the leather is LWG-certified and the shoe is handcrafted in Portugal. The men's white pair is article 28102 and the women's is 98099.

With the shipping country set to Canada, Axel Arigato's site prices the Clean 90 at CA$460 for both men's and women's, marked as including taxes and duties, and lists free express delivery and free returns. In October 2026 we did not find the white Clean 90 at a Canadian multi-brand retailer; SSENSE Canada had the Clean 90 only in beige.

It sits between mainstream leather sneakers and the Common Projects Achilles in price, with a similarly minimal look, and suits office wear and smart-casual outfits. For a Canadian winter, smooth leather is the easiest white upper to wipe free of salt, but it is not waterproof, so keep it for dry days and use a leather protector.
